Rammed Earth Workshop

Rammed earth training courses being offered over the summer of 2016.  Learn to build with what mother nature provides.

We are a husband and wife team working towards our dream home.  We have been building rammed earth structures on our property for the last three years, starting with driveway markers, an animal shelter and last summer we completed half of our house walls.  We have gained knowledge through extensive research and hands on courses.  Please feel free to have a look at our blog chronicling our progress.

We have one more summer to finish our walls and want to make sure we give anyone interested the opportunity to learn rammed earth in an applicable way.  Rammed earth is cost effective, beautiful and will last many lifetimes over, nothing compares to the feeling of being surrounded by these magnificent walls.

Come and join us in building a rammed earth residence near beautiful Christopher Lake Saskatchewan.     The course objective is to give participants experience and knowledge to build a rammed earth residence in a hands on setting.

The course will cover:

· form set up and dismantling

· material mixing

· ramming

· in wall services (plumbing and wiring)

· insulation

· rebar stabilization

Courses extends over 5 days maximum with a minimum of two days participation.  Cost is $100/day.  To maximize experience and time to relay the most information 4 to 5 days is recommended.  There are limited spots available each week so book your week early to get your spot.
